Abstract

The purpose of this study is to conduct a meta-analysis to identify effective mathematics practices for young children implemented in informal learning environments (e.g., the home, museums, libraries) by parents, childcare providers, and other adults. This meta-analysis focuses on children in preschool to third grade and content related to number and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, and data analysis. The purpose of this poster is to present literature search terms and inclusion/exclusion criteria to gain feedback and suggestions from conference participants so that the authors may conduct a rigorous and comprehensive review of the literature.
