Abstract
This is by no means a novel discussion, but what fascinates me about ethics in performance improvement undertakings is this: when confronted with a discrepancy in performance, it is highly unlikely that two performance improvement practitioners will propose an identical set of solutions. Our subjectivity, experience, education, expertise, cultural exposure, and so on are the various lenses that influence how we perceive and detect, assess, evaluate, and recommend solutions to gaps in performance. Then, is it possible that we may just as easily display a similar difference in our understanding and execution of ethics in performance improvement endeavors?
