Franz Liszt: Dance of Death and Hungarian Fantasy

Abstract

The American pianist Del Parkinson was the special guest of the Orquestra Sinfônica de Sorocaba, under the baton of Maestro Eduardo Ostergren. For the first time in Brazil, the pianist was the soloist of the orchestra in two works of the composer Franz Liszt: "Dance of Death" and "Hungarian Fantasy". The concert also presented "Funeral March for a Marionette" (Charles Gounod) and "A Night on Bald Mountain" (Modest Mussorgsky).
