Abstract

This presentation will provide practitioners with the tools to plan and implement a STEM and social skills curriculum that can be used for learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disability (ID). Resources and examples will be provided to participants to support implementation across a variety of contexts. Participants will be able to: 1. Recognize the importance of STEM and social skill instruction for students with ASD/ID. 2. Use principles of UDL to plan meaningful STEM instruction for students with ASD/ID. 3. Identify evidence-based practices to implement STEM instruction for students with ASD/ID.
