Abstract
Organizations across industries and geographies are investing heavily in sustainable supply chain management (SSCM), embedding environmental and social considerations into procurement, production, and logistics. Yet, many sustainability efforts falter. The missing link? Individual behavior. Employees and managers—those responsible for implementing and executing sustainability initiatives—are influenced by cognitive, emotional, and motivational factors that traditional supply chain models often overlook. Despite growing calls for research on behavioral dimensions in SSCM, our understanding of what truly drives individual pro-sustainability behavior in supply chain management remains limited. This study addresses this critical gap by systematically examining the existing literature on antecedents of individual prosustainability behavior in SSCM as well as the pathways through which antecedents lead to outcomes.
