Abstract

The Field Inspection Reporting System (FIRS) is a reengineering effort to change the manner in which the construction inspection process is handled today by taking advantage of state-of-the-art technologies. During the development of FIRS, several issues related with pen-based computers were studied. This paper reports on the design of the user interface for pen-based computers to be used as part of the FIRS project.
