Abstract
The UC-Davis research center is partnering with Reischl in the field evaluation of the Boise State-developed infrared heat radiation attenuation vest, which was designed to reduce heat stress resulting from outdoor exposure to intense sunlight. Ten agricultural workers in Modesto, Calif., have been wearing the vest in the field and are providing feedback on the wearability of the new garment. Reischl provided a technical overview of the vest design and its functions and he outlined the strategy being employed in carrying out the field evaluation.
