Knowledge Asset Value and Network Safeguards: Impacts and Outcomes

Research output: Types of ThesisDoctoral thesis

Abstract

I examine the use of network safeguards by firms to protect the value of their knowledge assets, and, ultimately, how these network safeguards impact the ability of the firm to create future knowledge assets. Using networks and social capital perspectives, this dissertation will increase our understanding of how interfirm networks can be both a source for gaining and losing valuable resources.
