Abstract

The article reports that library workers are helping communities mitigate the COVID-19 crisis through Maker skills. Topics discussed include the use of 3-D printers by librarians to create personal protective equipment (PPE), estimated cost per face shield to produce according to Boise State University in Idaho, and importance of following specific safety steps when manufacturing.
