Marketplaces: From Open Air to Online

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

Chad Erpelding, a professor in the Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies, has work included in Marketplaces: From Open Air to Online at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. The exhibition opens with a reception from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, and runs until Nov. 8. Erpelding will  speak briefly about his work at 6 p.m. on Friday.

Erpelding’s work explores stock market data within the language of hard-edge abstraction. The paintings included in the exhibit address the reactions of stock indices across the globe after the Brexit vote and the change of stock values in the Dow, NASDAQ and S&P 500 during the recovery from the recent global recession.
