Abstract
It’s hard to go to a wake. It’s even harder when it’s for someone you loved as a best friend. But what if you’re the one who killed the guy? How do you act? Can you keep a lid on it? Why are you even at the wake? That’s the dilemma that enigmatic hitman Rick Steele faces as he walks into the East L.A. home of the gang member and best friend, Carlos that he murdered. Rick must come to terms with guilt, morality and even mortality. He attempts to atone for his sins, confessing his guilt to his corpse friend, but Carlos’ scary brother, Santos learns the truth and makes Rick pay the ultimate price. Sending him on a one way ticket to Hell.
