Abstract
The effect of V addition on the microstructure and magnetic properties of α-Fe/Nd2Fe14B nanocomposite was investigated. The V addition improves the magnetic properties of α-Fe/Nd2Fe14B nanocomposite, but it does not change microstructure of the alloy. Three dimensional atom probe analyses show that the V atoms uniformly distribute in both the as-quenched and annealed alloys. The V-free allow show textural characterization of enriched α-Fe in the surface of the ribbon. Adding V element may change some intrinsic properties of the alloy, giving rise to better hard magnetic properties.
