Abstract

As people on both sides of the ocean admit, the relationship between the two universities has been frustrating and fulfilling, quirky, and perhaps unusual. Still, the benefits of building such relationships and cooperation, regardless of how or how in depth, have rewards that go far beyond a research paper or training program. The friendships, the learning, and the broader views and perspectives have affected people within and far outside the universities.
