Abstract
This note considers a nonlinear observer for the PM Stepper Motor. Specifically, the method of Krener and Respondek is used to construct a nontrivial full-order speed observer which has linear error dynamics. The procedure is validated with experimental results. Finally, reduced-order observers are constructed by inspection.
