Observation of coherent superconducting gap excitations in MgB2

Abstract

We report the observation of coherent superconducting gap oscillations in MgB2 films at 3K using time-resolved spectroscopy. Oscillations at frequencies of 124cm-1, 103cm-1 and 56cm-1 were observed. Spontaneous Raman spectra show a gap at 110cm-1.
