Abstract

Minoritized communities face multiple challenges in our healthcare system, which holds also true for those receiving palliative care.[1] Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) is a path to addressing healthcare disparities by engaging in equitable partnerships with minoritized communities, with the goal of identifying solutions.[2] This approach is a promising strategy for addressing knowledge gaps in, and access to palliative care.[3,4] Not only does CBPR improve health outcomes for underrepresented individuals, but it also provides momentum for positive personal outcomes, underscoring the potential for this approach to improve health equity in palliative care.[5,6]
