Abstract

This work considers the position control of a PM stepper motor using the exact linearization method. We also show the relationship between the exact linearizing transformation and the DQ transformation of electric machine theory. Finally, we indicate how constant load torques may be asymptotically rejected by using a nonlinear observer.
