Abstract

Participatory design research has historically been a domain focused on individual projects situated in a specific context. If participatory design research is to have greater societal impact, and enable diverse groups to contribute to solving the "big problems"facing our world, it is essential to develop methods for planning, conducting, and reporting participatory design research that facilitate the comparison and integration of individual projects. This workshop aims to tackle this complex issue and to create guidelines or a framework for understanding participatory design processes and data on a larger scale.
