Abstract

Payahuunadü is Paiute for the Owens Valley and Eastern Sierra region of California. Payahuunadü means "land of the flowing water".

Payahuunadü has been the home to the Paiute and Shoshone people since time immemorial. This is the story of their fight for environmental justice.
