Revisiting Research in Human Performance Technology

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The lack of research in the field of performance has been a constant concern within our literature across decades. Echoing a similar sentiment, practitioners have suggested how academics are lagging behind, and some have opined perhaps even by a decade or two. The importance of research has been linked to the advancement of a field. Cho, Jo, Park, Kang, and Chen (2011) argue that in order to advance theory and practice both are needed in equal measure.
