Abstract

This archive contains the scripts to replicate the experiment for our paper named "Normalization of unconstrained handwritten words in terms of Slope and Slant Correction".

### Requirements –

Software: - MATLAB R2018a

Data: - A set of word images (sloped and slanted) in RGB or Gray scale.

### Instructions –

Steps to run: -

(1) Install required software,

(2) Keep the MATLAB file (“normWord.m”) and images in a single folder,

(3) Run the program “normWord.m” with corresponding word image.

Input: - Any word image (RGB or Gray) in .jpg/.png/.bmp format.

Output: - The estimated slope and slant angles for a given word image along with the execution time (will be shown in “Command window”). The resultant images will also be displayed.
