Social Sciences in Natural Hazards Research: Interdisciplinary Research Approaches

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

The objectives of this session are to (1) provide several of the poster presenters an opportunity to briefly present their research framed within the larger question of interdisciplinary research, and (2) generate discussion on the integration of social science and natural hazards research. General questions may include: What can we learn from each other? What do we need from each other in order to advance our respective disciplines and interdisciplinary research in this policy domain? This splinter group will continue this discussion that was initiated last year on similar themes.
