Abstract

Particle–hole and pairing relationships are obtained within the framework of the unitary group formulation of the many‐electron problem using the concept of particle–hole conjugation. Besides the familiar relationships for alternant hydrocarbons, relationships among various pericyclic reaction paths are obtained.
