Abstract

Learning about the idiosyncrasies of the target language's culture is a fundamental aspect of language acquisition. Often, elementary and intermediate language textbooks introduce culture topics in separate capsules, independent from the grammar aspect of the language. Using Basque as an example, this presentation demonstrates how to create an engaging tandem between grammar and culture so students can learn and practice grammatical structures in an inductive, communicative, and contextual manner.
