Abstract

It was the last full day of the trade mission. The 18 American businesspersons were returning in their tour bus from a visit to the Cao Dai temple outside Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), formerly called Saigon. A small group at the back of the bus was discussing how to thank Ms. Nguyen Kim Phuong, the Vietnamese government aide who had been with the group the past 12 days serving as a guide, interpreter, organizer of programs, and troubleshooter.
