Abstract
Discussions around the future of work are increasingly gaining momentum. The future is often spoken in terms of a world where there is augmented and virtual reality, and terms such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and 5G are commonplace and considered as keys to “unimaginable freedom” and as a portal of empowerment for surgeons to conduct surgeries remotely (Wired Insider, 2018, p.1).
