Abstract
According to the World Health Organization, as of March 2016 there have been over 16,000 reported cases of individuals infected with the Zika virus. The estimates are even greater for unreported cases. This article applies the principles of human performance technology (HPT) to the current ZIka virus epidemic, highlighting the utility and potential impact of HPT theory when applied to real-world situations in real time.
