Abstract
This paper will discuss one university's steps towards a linguistically inclusive first-year writing (FYW) placement process, beginning with the challenges of identifying students who need English language support. The presenters will describe the data collection, cross-campus collaborations, and strategy-building necessary for guiding students to appropriate FYW courses.
