Abstract
Lecturers will share the results from a study that explored athletic retirement from the perspective of staff within student-athlete support or development services of NCAA Division I institutions. The factors that lead to a successful or unsuccessful transition out of sport will be discussed. Attendees will learn about the current service and programs offered to support student-athletes through this transitional period as well as future programming needs of both current and former student-athletes.
