Abstract

The authors proposed some experiments using Josephson junctions which allow the generation of states of the electromagnetic field with unusual quantum statistics as well as the exploration of Fock space. They describe how the properties of such states can be investigated using SIS mixers. They also describe how squeezed states can be used to enhance interferometer sensitivity or reduce noise for phase-sensitive measurements.
