Abstract
He likes cats. I prefer dogs. He was raised on a dairy farm in a wide western valley. I grew up on the south side of Pittsburgh. He is short and I am tall. When we go out, I ask him to wear his cowboy boots. He comes from a long line of hard-drinking farmers and laborers. My father's a teetotaler with a doctorate and twenty white button-down shirts.
